Eagle-eyed Peggy noted an advertisement\nfor a quilt show last week and the ad indicated the show started\ntoday. I was hoping she would forget about this event because I’m not\nreal skookum on quilts and other sewing-type arts but she actually\nhad secured a shiny postcard-sized ad that she stuck into our\nbathroom sink mirror trim, eliminating any chance of forgetfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\tToday I drove her down to Cascade\nMiddle School in nearby Sedro Woolley so she could go in and check\nout the results of other folks’ sewing and stitching. Since I am\ncompletely uninterested in such things, I found a shady spot in the\nschool parking lot and read the news for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\tIn a surprisingly short amount of\ntime, Peggy came back out of the show but not without some crafty\nmerchandise purchased indoors. It looks like Peg is starting her Xmas\nshopping early. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\tCultural activities completed, we then\nwandered over to Skagit Valley Burger, also in Sedro Woolley, where\nwe acquired a couple more of their world-class hamburgers and tasty\nfries. As far as I’m concerned, this stop made the whole excursion\nworthwhile because it may be that Skagit Valley Burger makes some of\nthe best burgers available anywhere. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\tAlthough Sedro Woolley is only about\n25 minutes from our current campground in Bow, the trip there and\nback was wonderful. The rural drives in this part of the world offer\nsuperb scenery, making the drives the best part of any trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We spent the rest of the day in our campsite, checking out the birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
