We did take a spin around the massive Thousand Trails Colorado River campsite so we could check out the animals. To illustrate how busy we were, I can tell you we spent some time watching meadowlarks yanking worms out of the ground. The meadowlarks are brilliant yellow on their tiny chests. We also spotted a red-bellied woodpecker, adding to our list of new critters identified.<br \/>\n      See critters.
